Pillow

A Pillow Cover is a type of bedding— a small (and usually soft) support for the head, usually used while sleeping in a bed, or for the body as used on a couch or chair. There are also throw pillows, which are pillows that are purely decorative and not designed for support or comfort. There also exist “novelty pillows”, (which can be throw or body pillows), which are designed often as licensed products. Such pillows include the popular “Fish Pillow” – a large body pillow that is made to look like a trout. At Vandana Exports we make custom design pillow covers to suit every requirement. Insignia (the plural of Latin insigne: emblem, symbol) is a symbol or token of personal power, status or office, or of an official body of government or jurisdiction. Insignia are especially used as an emblem of a specific or general authority.

Official insignia are often protected by law as to allow their use only by people holding a specific office or staff member’s action on behalf of such a person. Misuse, defacement and destruction of such symbols are considered as offense in many countries. In various countries, particularly the U.S., these may be referred to as “star ranks”, for the number of stars worn on some rank insignia; typically one star for Brigadier General or equivalent with the addition of a star for each subsequent rank. While in the U.S. five stars has been the maximum used in all services excluding the U.S. Marines, the historical but still substantive ranks of General of the Armies and Admiral of the Navy are nationally referred to as “six star” ranks.

We have a great selection of these cushion covers and we can accommodate custom designs as well. Black work Embroidery is normally simply referred to as “Black work”. It is a simple form of embroidery, using black thread on white or off-white fabric. Black work is usually executed on even-weave fabric that is easily countable. Any black thread can be used, but firmly twisted threads of any material give a better look than embroidery floss. Sometimes metallic threads or colored threads are used for accents. Related embroidery forms are Whitework, which uses white thread and Scarletwork, which uses red thread. The stitches used are double running stitch (which is also called holbein stitch or backstitch) and sometimes stem stitch. Historically, there are three known techniques to execute black work.
The stitches are executed following a counting pattern, creating both the bigger shapes and small filling patterns. Most modern black work follows this pattern, especially the commercially produced patterns that are marketed for hobby stitchers. The whole embroidery looks somewhat geometric. The shapes, which can be curvilinear, are surrounded by outlines made from stem stitch and then filled with geometric patterns The entire embroidery is curvilinear, and often uses random stitches, so-called seed stitches, as filling rather than geometric patterns. This style was invented to mimic etchings.
